Help with Dementia Care

Whether you’re living with Dementia or caring for someone who has been diagnosed, this condition can bring dramatic changes to a person’s life. As a carer providing support to your loved ones daily life and activities, you may find that you’re facing new challenges and require some extra help with Dementia care.

Do you require an extra pair of hands, or need full-time support? There is a range of support for carers, friends and family members of those living with Dementia that you can use to help improve both the lives of yourself and your loved ones.

Caring for Someone with Dementia

The role of a carer can vary depending on the health of your loved one. Typically, roles include helping with household tasks, running errands, helping with medication, personal care, and appointments, as well as providing emotional support when necessary.

As a caregiver for a friend or family member, this may be an unfamiliar and overwhelming role to take on, which is why help with dementia care is available to those who need it.

Feeling anxious, nervous, or unsure of where to go for accurate information and support is not uncommon for new carers. Remember to take care of your own mental and physical health. Caring for someone can lead to sadness, anger, guilt, and confusion; it’s okay to acknowledge these feelings with a safe support network that can provide helpful advice. Looking after yourself can help you to feel better and cope with your role as a caregiver.

If you are struggling, don’t be afraid to ask for additional support and help with dementia care. Respite can be provided for carers to give them a temporary break from their role; this allows carers to rest, relax and take the time they need to maintain their own mental health. When You May Need Additional Help with Dementia Care

Your loved ones will always have the same rotation of carers so they will always have a familiar and friendly face. With this type of care, we’re here to look after every aspect of running the home and assist with every need the client may have. Which includes personal care, companionship and appointments, including friend and family engagements.

Short Care Visits

These appointments are arranged for times that suit you and as often as your loved one needs. Our carers can support them with a range of tasks from personal care, medication, light housework companionship and more.

Our short care visits are available from as little as 30 minutes and can be as long its needed.
